The Days of Atonement was a time of celebration observed by the Bajoran religion as part of their demonstration of faith in the Prophets.

Latha Mabrin was killed in 2373 by Silarin Prin when Latha was leading prayers marking the Days of Atonement. (DS9 episode: "The Darkness and the Light")

In 2374, Benjamin Sisko asked Arla Rees that, under her suggestions to make Bajoran and Humans work closer on Deep Space 9, if she would make Martians celebrate the Bajoran Days of Atonement instead of Colonial Independence Day.
