The Deep Space Nine Special was a DS9 comic from Malibu Comics, a special featuring an anthology of previously unpublished comic short stories.

With the impending transfer of the DS9 comic publishing rights from Malibu to Marvel Comics, this issue was probably scheduled to facilitate the speedy release of Malibu's backlog of printing material.

Description[]

The 48-page special issue Star Trek
Deep Space Nine Special #1 features five complete Star Trek: Deep Space Nine stories starring the crew of the Federation's most distant outpost. Stories include: "Collision Course" — an asteroid is hurtling toward the station with only 20 minutes before impact; and "Frozen Boyhood" — Dax finds an ancient Earth ship, with contents that have a bittersweet significance for both Sisko and his son, Jake.
