This article is about the Dramian police chief. You may be looking for Rom Knight commando Demos.

Demos was a 23rd century Dramian man who served as security chief of the police forces on the planet Dramia.

Biography[]

Demos took charge of military-related medical supplies provided by the starship USS Enterprise when it visited Dramia in the year 2270. As the landing party prepared to depart, however, he issued an arrest warrant for Doctor Leonard McCoy, charged to have created the Dramian plague in 2251 that killed thousands of Dramians.

When he learned that Captain James T. Kirk would investigate the charges and search for evidence on Dramia II, Demos followed the Enterprise aboard his personal skiff. Kirk had the shuttle bay doors opened to lure Demos aboard, so he could accompany them rather than lurk.

After visiting Dramia II, Demos and several members of the crew contracted the plague, but McCoy was able to develop an antidote to save their lives. (TAS episode & Log Six novelization: Albatross)

Alternate timelines[]

In an alternate timeline beset by the temporal anomaly crisis, Demos was pulled into the late 24th century. His skills qualified him as a police interrogator. He was also skilled in the fields of command, diplomacy and security. Among the equipment he brought to bear in missions were McCoy's Dramen vaccine and an arrest warrant. (ST video game: Timelines)
