Denab is a star with an associated star system. Denab is a class K orange star located in the Alpha Quadrant of the galaxy, over a thousand light-years from Earth. (ST reference: Star Charts)
In 2379, the Denab system was an unexplored territory due to be visited by the newly refurbished USS Enterprise-E. Captain Jean-Luc Picard described the assignment as an exciting opportunity to go where no one had gone before.
