Deutronium was a popular fuel for various Cardassian weapons systems and some of their earlier war vessels. Eventually, new technological advances created a far lower demand for the fuel. Lazon II was rich in deutronium ore. (TNG novel: Triangle: Imzadi II)

Deutronium was the energy source for the Jupiter 2 spacecraft in the TV series Lost in Space.
