Devos II was a planet, the second planet in the Devos star system, located in the Algira sector of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrant. (STO - Cardassian Struggle mission: "The Factory")

History[]

In late 2375, Devos II was under the control of the Son'a. The Dominion turned to the Son'a for Ketracel-white, which prompted the formation of a factory on Devos II to produce white. It was one of the last planets to fall in the Dominion War. (DS9 episode: "Penumbra")

Devos II became virtually unpopulated after the war. In 2387, several Jem'Hadar established a base of operations near a former Dominion ketracel-white facility on the planet. The Jem'Hadar later expanded the facility to give them the means of manufacturing their own supplies of the substance. Starfleet sent the USS Stargazer-A to the Devos system due to the threat, but decided to leave the Alpha Jem'Hadar in peace as long as they took no more hostile actions. (ST website : The Path to 2409)

In the year 2409, the Allies sent a ship to Devos II to disrupt negotiations between Gul Pulat of the True Way and Dumat'Zukan of the Alpha Jem'Hadar. They found the factory on an asteroid in orbit of Devos II and boarded it with an away team after dispatching the space station's defenses. In the factory, the Allies freed the Vorta Neman from captivity, who advised them that the rogue Changeling Laas had formed a New Link and fed it with lies. The Allies killed Pulat and Dumat'Zukan before blowing up the factory with charges, dealing a blow to the Alpha Jem'Hadar and a prospective alliance with the True Way terrorists.
