Diana Dyson was a human female of the mid 23rd century. A neurologist, she was a member of the United Federation of Planets Starfleet.

Dr. Dyson had been assigned to the USS Enterprise. Shortly after her arrival she was called to help Chief Medical Officer Leonard McCoy recover from a severe head injury which had caused him to lose memories of the past 25 years of his life. During this time the two became close friends, but after his recovery he had no memory of this friendship. Meeting with her after his recovery, McCoy felt that despite her inexperience that she was a promising medical officer. (TOS novel: Dreams of the Raven)
