Discovery (NX-04) was an NX-class starship in service to the United Earth's Starfleet in the 22nd century.

HistoryEdit

She was constructed at San Francisco Fleet Yards, and launched in late August, 2155, under the command of Captain Curtis.

On November 8, 2155 the Discovery responded to a distress call from United Earth's Starbase 1 on Berengaria VII. When Discovery arrived, she discovered the Human and Vulcan bases on the planet had been wiped out. Before search and rescue operations could commence, she entered a trap set by a Romulan attack force that used old style nuclear weapons as mines. Most of the crew survived in escape pods, including Travis Mayweather; however Captain Curtis died ensuring that the ship's log buoy and crew escaped the attack.
