Discovery (NX-04) was an NX-class starship in service to the United Earth's Starfleet in the 22nd century. She was launched in 2155, under the command of Captain Curtis, alongside Challenger (NX-03).

HistoryEdit

Her first mission post-launch was to respond to a distress call from United Earth's Starbase 1 on Berengaria VII. When Discovery arrived, she discovered the Human and Vulcan bases on the planet had been wiped out. Before search and rescue operations could commence, she entered a trap set by a Romulan attack force that used old style nuclear weapons as mines. Most of the crew survived in escape pods, including Travis Mayweather; however Captain Curtis died ensuring that the ship's log buoy and crew escaped the attack.
