Disruptor arrays were a type of deployment of disruptor weapons. Klingon scout vessels were armed with disruptor arrays, which fired from the front of the starship's nacelles. Two direct hits from the IKS Vortha's disruptor arrays on the USS Enterprise resulted in only minor damage to the Constitution-class starship. (TOS comic: "Against Their Nature")
