The Division of Planetary Operations (or DPO) was a Federation agency on Earth, based in the city of Lisbon, responsible for global power distribution.
History[]
Lieutenant Padraig Daniels was assigned to the DPO in early 2371. He and a team from the DPO were assigned to investigate the bombing at the Antwerp Conference in 2372. (TNG eBook: Slings and Arrows: The Oppressor's Wrong)
Later in 2372, members of Red Squad infiltrated the DPO and shut down all of Earth's power relays, leading to the declaration of a planet-wide state of emergency as part of Admiral James Leyton attempt to militarize the planet. (DS9 episodes: "Homefront", "Paradise Lost")
