A dojo is the name given to a special school or training hall which is given over to the teaching of martial arts such as karate and judo. There was a dojo hall aboard the USS Enterprise (NCC-1701) on the recreation deck and was frequently used by Hikaru Sulu. (TOS novel: The Entropy Effect).
