Dorek Syndrome was a fatal Ferengi disease which afflicted one in five million individuals. Once diagnosed, the sufferer typically had only a few days to live.

Quark was diagnosed with Dorek Syndrome by Doctor Orpax in 2372, but later discovered that Brunt had bribed the doctor to make the false diagnosis. (DS9 episode: "Body Parts")
