Dorien was a crewperson who was assigned to Deep Space 9 in the year 2370. Dorien was assigned to duty in the engineering sections of the space station. On stardate 48273, massive power grid problems caused a hectic schedule for Chief of Operations Miles O'Brien's repair technicians. Lieutenant Jadzia Dax suggested calling Dorien up from engineering to help, but O'Brien expressed confidence in his teams' ability to handle the situation. (DS9 comic: "Dax's Comet, Part 1")

Dorien was likely a member of the station's Human contingent, but this was not confirmed, raising a possiblity that Dorien could also have been a non-Human member of Starfleet or possibly part of the station's Bajoran crewpeople.
