Dumbarton Oaks
Dumbarton Oaks was a historic mansion built in the 19th century in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, DC on Earth. It was famous for hosting an early conference which lay the groundwork for the creation of the United Nations, and also for the Dumbarton Gardens, a ten-acre expanse of landscaped terraces.
Dumbarton Oaks and Dumbarton Gardens continued to exist into the 24th century. Dr. Jennifer Almieri's apartment in Washington was located near the landmark building, and had a broad view of the Dumbarton Gardens. (CoE eBook: Ghost)
