Duran'Adar was the Sixth of a Jem'Hadar squad that had commandeered the USS Defiant on stardate 51474.2. He was one of the first Jem'Hadar selected that were brought through the Bajoran womrhole due to his experience in capturing the Defiant and, as such, fought the Alpha Quadrant and Beta Quadrant powers in the Dominion War. He was assigned in the fleet that attacked Deep Space 9 by the Vorta Weyoun who believed that his experience would help bring down the station quicker and make the capture more efficient.
