Earth starships were limited to low warp ships before the launch of the Enterprise (NX-01) which was the first warp 5 starship of the NX-class. They became the most advanced starships of the Earth Starfleet when launched in the early 2150s after 90 years of low warp. The first NX-class Enterprise launched in 2151.
