Eben Saxosus was a male native of a planet in or near Sector 221-G. He was the child of Kayi and Teir, and the brother of Falo.

Eben was initially a believer in the god Kolk'r, but his world had been taken over by the Redeemers, and he was compelled to renounce his faith. One day, he had a vision of the god Xant, who told him of his true origins, the origins of the Redeemers, and a new message from Xant. Upon emerging from his vision, he found he was the only survivor of his world after the accidental release of the Redeemer virus. He thereafter resolved to redeem the Redeemers.
