Edosian orchids are a flowering species of plant known to be found on Cardassia. Since climate change made the planet drier, they do not grow widely on Cardassia and, as such, are quite a speciality.

Tolan Garak, the groundskeeper of Cardassia City's Tarlak Sector in the mid 24th century, had a particular passion for Edosian orchids, and populated much of the sector with them. He passed on his skills for growing the orchids to his son Elim Garak, who went on to plant them in the various residences he kept on Cardassia. Elim also grew them in an Obsidian Order operation on Romulus where, when pollinated by native plant White Star of Night, created a deadly bloom that he used to kill Proconsul Merrok. (DS9 novel: A Stitch in Time)

Garak introduced Pardek to Edosian orchids and they became Pardek's most prized plants at his villa on the Apnex Sea. (TNG novel: Rogue)

In 2372, Garak mentioned to Odo that his specialty as a gardener was Edosian orchids. (DS9 episode: "Broken Link")

It is likely that these orchids are native to the home planet of the Edoans, of Alan Dean Foster's Star Trek Logs novelizations, based on never-aired background information from TAS.
