Edward Janeway was a Human male in Starfleet in the 24th century. He was the husband of Gretchen Janeway, and the father of two daughters, Kathryn and Phoebe. (VOY novel: Mosaic)

History

In 2354, Janeway was a vice admiral. Janeway, along with Ambassador Curzon Dax, represented the Federation in negotiations to bring the Bactricans into the Federation. (DS9 - The Lives of Dax short story: "The Music Between the Notes")

Janeway died in 2358 on Tau Ceti Prime, following the crash of the prototype ship Terra Nova on the planet's polar ice cap. (VOY novel: Mosaic, VOY episode: "Coda")
