Ela was a Bajoran in the 24th century who served as a Ranjen in the Bajoran faith.

In April 2376 Yevir Linjarin was delayed getting to a meeting with Kira Nerys on Deep Space 9 because he had been talking to Ela about doctrinal differences which were at the time being contested among members of the Vedek assembly. (DS9 novel: Avatar)
