Electricity is the behaviour of electrons which is caused by the attraction of particles with charges that are opposite and the repulsion of particles that have charges that are the same.

During the 19th century, Humans developed a method of utilizing wind to turn the turbines of a windmill and generate electricity which could then be used by local towns and cities. (VOY short story: "Winds of Change")
