Ensign Elrene Leydon was an Earth Starfleet officer during the Earth-Romulan War. Her great-grandfather served aboard the USS Enterprise (CVN-65).

In 2155, Leydon was stationed aboard the Enterprise as helmsman Travis Mayweather's replacement. She was very afraid of messing up, but Hoshi Sato was able to reassure and befriend Leydon. (ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing)
