Emma Bartel

Lieutenant Emma Bartel served as an engineer aboard the USS Enterprise-D in 2369. She assisted Geordi La Forge in Main Engineering during the vessel's encounter with a Dyson sphere and the recovery of missing person Montgomery Scott from the wreckage of the USS Jenolen. (TNG episode: "Relics")

In 2379 when Riker was trying to convince La Forge that he would make a great first officer, as evidence of his leadership skills Riker listed several good engineers, including Bartel, who had served under La Forge in engineering. (TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)

NOTE: In the novelization of Relics, this character's first name is given as "Kerry".
