Eric was a Human male in the 24th century, native to Asgard.

Eric, along with his friend and colleague Marten, had graduated from Starfleet Academy by 2376 and was assigned to Deep Space 9 to observe the Cardassian aid relations in his capacity as a diplomatic trainee. On his first day he tried to chat up Kira Nerys, telling her her eyes burned like stars. He was rather embarrassed when she told him who she was, and avoided her from then on. Eric died in April of that year in a Jem'Hadar attack on the station. (DS9 - Avatar novel: Book One)
