Eschak was a term in the Vulcan language which was similar to the Human poltergeist effect. To Vulcans, they were described as being random, destructive psychokinetic effects though they were not similar to the Earth belief in ghosts. Such myths were more common on the Terran homeworld compared to the planet Vulcan. (TOS novel: Ghost-Walker)
