Europani

The Europani are the humans of the independent colony Europa Nova.

In May of 2376 an Iconian Gateway opened above the colony expelling massive amounts of radioactive waste from a Malon freighter onto the planet. The entire Europani population was evacuated to Bajor for a short period whilst the planet was cleaned. (DS9 novel: Star Trek: Gateways, #4: Demons of Air and Darkness).
