Lieutenant Falon Wriede was a human male and served on the USS Enterprise-E. In 2379, he served as the tactical officer during gamma shift on the Bridge of the Enterprise.

Wriede served at the tactical station while Christine Vale and many other senior officers on Tezwa attempting to destroy the nadion-pulse cannon firebases. (TNG novel: A Time to Kill)

Wriede was on duty on the Bridge when deposed Prime Minister Kinchawn launched his coup d'etat. Because he had been trained by Data's drills, Wriede recognized a freighter attempting to overload its engine core and cause destruction to the Enterprise; he was able to eject the freighter before it exploded, but he also killed four enlisted crewmen who were working in the bay at the time. (TNG novel: A Time to Heal)

A few weeks later, he was on duty on the bridge and responded to a call from Counselor Deanna Troi when she was attempting to locate the USS Amargosa in order to talk to Counselor Marlyn Del Cid.

For a brief period in 2379, it looked as though Ranul Keru and Wriede were going to be the only two officers on the Enterprise rated to run tactical. In order to have all three shifts covered, Commander William T. Riker asked Lieutenant Commander Worf, who had just recently resigned his ambassadorship and been reinstated into Starfleet, to cover tactical during alpha shift. (TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace)
