This page lists and describes Federation Presidents.

The following list is presented in approximate chronological order of when each president entered office. Due to occasional conflicting continuities some presidents may not be considered part of the same continuity as others; all are listed here, with notes describing the nature of any discontinuities that exist. Dates for presidents established in the FASA RPG are given in the RPG's native reference stardate calendar; these dates are only roughly convertible to the standard contemporary timeline, so the exact order of presidents is open to interpretation.

Exactly when he took office in unknown; it was presumably after his Starfleet career, which Burning Dreams establishes lasted until at least 2320 when he was still in command of the USS Excelsior, but some time prior to James T. Bacco was a Human female from Cestus III, the former governor of Cestus. She was elected to office in the special election following the "retirement" of president Zife. The early years of the Bacco administration saw the collapse of the Romulan Star Empire and later massive damage to the Federation in the Borg Invasion of 2381. Her later years saw the rise of the Typhon Pact and an easing of relations between the Federation and historical enemies, particularly the Cardassians, Gorn, and Romulan Star Empire. Bacco was assassinated at the dedication ceremony for the new Deep Space 9 (II) on August 27, 2385. (TNG novel: A Time for War, A Time for Peace; ST novel: Articles of the Federation; ST - Destiny novel: Lost Souls; STO website: The Path to 2409; ST novels: The Fall, Revelation and Dust
The events of Star Trek: Destiny are not a part of the continuity of The Path to 2409, and thus it is unknown how the radically different political landscape formed in the aftermath of the Borg invasion in the prose continuity might affect Bacco's presidency beyond 2381; whether she will remain in office as long, or have the same successor as the Star Trek Online continuity.
