In 2381, he joined in the Federation Department of Temporal Investigations as researcher and threw himself into his work with great enthusiasm and determination. He helped another new recruit, Teresa Garcia, get the gist of their lecturer T'Viss's highly technical teachings.

At the DTI Headquarters in Greenwich in early 2382, Felbog reported an alarming discovery that he had mad made to Director Andos and other personnel. While making a routine search of the shielded records, he had discovered a previously unknown Suliban DTI agent named Shelan.
