Ferris Kane was a Human male who served in Starfleet in the 24th century.

Kane attended Starfleet Academy in the 2320s and became a friend of fellow cadet, Jean-Luc Picard. By 2360s, Kane had risen to the rank of captain and still thought highly of Picard.
