Ferrocrete or ferroconcrete is a 23rd and 24th century building material similar to concrete that sets into a solid rock-like substance.

History and uses[]

In the 2260s and 2270s, ferroconcrete and a type of asphalt were used to pave streets in the city of Continuity on Sheridan's World. (FASA RPG module: Conflict of Interests)

In 2270, the surveyor Talisman built a ferrocrete pyramidal structure on Quilian IV containing a transporter signal booster and homing beacon for a shuttle landing field. (FASA RPG module: Safari in Violet)

In the 2270s and 2280s, ferrocrete was manufactured at the Samos 1 space station. (FASA RPG module: Regula-1 Orbital Station Deckplans)

In the 2370s, tons of ferrocrete were used to build Mungin, a listening post for Starfleet Intelligence's Project Mungin. The outpost was built in the Antros system, beneath the surface of a moon orbiting Antros III. (SCE - What's Past eBook: Echoes of Coventry)
