Gorn Space Armada

Gorn fleet going to war.

Gorn Space Command (Star Trek Adventures RPG module: Beta Quadrant Sourcebook), also known as the Gorn War Fleet (TNG comic: "The Gorn Crisis"), was the primary defensive organization of the Gorn Hegemony. (TOS video game: Starfleet Command II)

In the Gorn Hegemony, each member world maintains its own militia, dependent on the policies of that world. Gorn law states that a certain percentage of that militia's personnel are to be sent to service in the Hegemony's primary defense force, the Gorn Space Command. The Gorn Space Command is not as large as either the Klingon Defense Force or the Federation Starfleet. It doesn't emphasize raiding or expansion as with the Klingons nor do they emphasize scientific missions as with Starfleet. The Gorn Space Command's mission is the defense of the Hegemony's space and worlds and patrolling its borders. (Star Trek Adventures RPG module: Beta Quadrant Sourcebook)

Any Gorn who demonstrate specific competence while in the Space Command are selected to continue serving in the main military force, rather than being sent back to the planetary militia to complete the end of their term of service. Therefore, the calibre of those serving in the Space Command is very high, comparable to the personnel within Starfleet. Its officers are highly trained and possess a great deal of combat experience. Due to those factors, it has made the Gorn a fearsome enemy to face in battle and its fleet greatly feared by its enemies. In the Gorn Space Command, the best in the service are assigned to an elite unit, the Black Crest. Which is a squadron of vessels that have been tasked with the defense of the Imperator, the Assembly, and Gornar the Gorn homeworld. Occasionally they have also functioned as a special operations group. (TOS video game: Starfleet Command II; TOS video game: Starfleet Command; Star Trek Adventures RPG module: Beta Quadrant Sourcebook)

The space command, along with one of its generals, Khaaarr, supported the coup against the political caste in 2374. (TNG comic: "The Gorn Crisis")

The manual for Starfleet Command II refers to the Gorn state as the Gorn Confederation but, as ENT states it is the Gorn Hegemony, it has been applied to this case.
