Parvana Whitcomb was a female Human in the 23rd and 24th centuries.

Lieutenant Whitcomb served as acting first officer aboard the Soyuz-class USS Bozeman in 2278 when it was lost in the Typhon Expanse. She had accepted the temporary assignment after Lieutenant Commander Hikaru Sulu turned down the job, expecting to join her husband and their three month old daughter at Norkan after the Typhon Expanse survey.

In 2368, after spending 89 years, eight months and 23 days of objective time caught in a temporal causality loop along with her ship and crew, Whitcomb and her crewmates were debriefed by Department of Temporal Investigations agents, Gariff Lucsly and Marion Dulmur.

After learning that her husband and daughter lost their lives in the Norkan Campaign of 2307, and having barely two months with her formerly younger brother, Jamshid, who died at the age of 110, Whitcomb was determined to find a way back through time to save them. She attempted to enlist the aid of DTI counselor Clare Raymond, reasoning that Raymond would understand her determination having also had to deal with the loss of family after unwittingly leaving them behind in the 20th century.

In 2369, Whitcomb arranged for Captain Morgan Bateson to come down with Cygnian flu so she could command the upgraded Bozeman for its shakedown trials, taking the ship to Eris and the Eridian Vault in the hope of appropriating temporal technologies that were confiscated by the DTI in the course of their investigations. She and members of her crew, including Tactical Officer Shelithan ch'Riin, Science Officer Lloyd Boen, and three enlisted security personnel, Zane, Cohen, and Siemaszko, were all ultimately thwarted by Lucsly and Dulmur.
