For other uses, see Calypso.

The Calypso was a Federation shuttle vehicle in service to Starfleet in the late 24th century. In the 2360s, Calypso was assigned to the USS Enterprise-D as a captain's yacht. (ST reference: Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual)

History[]

Calypso maintenance was under the direction of systems technician Graham, who thought of the vessel as his own while it was docked aboard the Enterprise. (ST reference: Ships of the Line)

In 2364, the Calypso transported Captain Jean-Luc Picard to the Enterprise. (Ships of the Line 2007)

When the Enterprise primary hull crashed on Veridian III in 2371, the Calypso was presumably damaged beyond repair and taken out of service with its mothership. (TNG movie: Generations)

Specifications[]

At 10m long, 18m wide and 8m high with two decks, the yacht had a mass of 95 metric tonnes and was unarmed. The interior featured a flight deck, two small staterooms, bunks for the flight crew a galley and access to the engine compartment. It could accomodate two flight crew and one service representative plus VIP passengers. (ST reference: Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual)
