Rachel Delaney was a 24th century Human woman, a Starfleet officer trained as a flight controller. By the 2360s decade, she had attained the rank of ensign and served aboard the Federation starship USS Saratoga.

Biography[]

Ensign Delaney served as conn officer aboard the Saratoga at the Battle of Wolf 359 in the year 2367. When the Borg cube's cutting beam hit Saratoga, she was killed.

One of the Prophets took the form of Delaney while communicating with Benjamin Sisko when he first entered the Bajoran wormhole in 2369, based on his memory of her. (DS9 episode & novelization: Emissary)
