New Kentar was a class M terrestrial planet located in space of the galaxy's Alpha Quadrants, the third planet in orbit of the New Kentar star system in the Gon'cra sector. New Kentar was the adopted homeworld of the Kentari, and their seat of government. The planet was orbited by one moon, New Kentar Moon, or simply Kentari moon. (STO - New Frontiers mission: "Mirrors and Smoke")

History[]

New Kentar was settled by the Kentari after their civilization had rendered their original homeworld Kentar uninhabitable through pollution. By 2410, New Kentar was suffering a similar fate.

The isolationist Kentari made first contact with the Lukari Concordium and the Alpha Quadrant Alliance when their system was visited by the LSS Reskava and their AQA escort. The visitors, led by Captain Kuumaarke, were dismayed by the squalor and pollution found in Kentar City. Tuulemaan, Prime Minister of the Kentari Union, joined forces with the visitors when the Tzenkethi Coalition targeted the Kentari moon with protomatter bombs, but Traditionalist forced led by defense minister Pentaaro attacked the Kentari's newfound allies. When the Traditionalist fleet was subdued, Tuulemaan agreed to enter a cordial relationship with the Lukari and their AQA partners. (STO - New Frontiers mission: "Mirrors and Smoke")
