A friendly reminder regarding spoilers! For the primary universe counterpart, see USS Prometheus (NCC-59650-A).
For other uses, see Prometheus.

In the mirror universe, the ISS Prometheus (NCC-59650-A) was a 25th century Imperial Terran starship, a tier 5-rated Prometheus-class patrol escort in Imperial Starfleet service in the 2400s decade. (STO - Cardassian Struggle mission: "Defend the Beta Ursae Sector Block")

Service history and disposition[]

Namesakes[]

Prometheus-59650 mirror

The ISS Prometheus in 2411.

In Greek mythology on Earth, Prometheus created Humanity and gave them fire. (DS9 - Strange New Worlds short story: "The Dreamer and the Dream")

In the primary universe, 24th century Federation Starfleet commissioned the USS Prometheus (NX-59650) as the prototype of the Prometheus-class in 2374. (VOY episode: "Message in a Bottle")

While the original Prometheus remained in service in the 25th century, the Federation launched the USS Prometheus (NCC-59650-A) by the 2400s. (STO - Klingon War mission: "Welcome to Earth Spacedock", C-Store)

In one permutation of the mirror universe, the Prometheus-class ISS Prometheus (NCC-59650) was outfitted an advanced escort upgraded to Hydra-class intel destroyer specifications and was active in 2411. (STO website: The 13th Anniversary Terran Bundle!)

Active service[]

In the year 2409, the ISS Prometheus-A was part of the Imperial fleet directed by Captain James O'Brien to invade and harass civilian shipping in space controlled by the Cardassian Union and patrolled by the United Federation of Planets. The Cerberus and its compatriots hid in nebulae of the Beta Ursae sector block. The ship was frequently engaged in firefights. (STO - Cardassian Struggle mission: "Defend the Beta Ursae Sector Block")

The Cerberus was part of an invasion fleet that sacked a Federation starbase. A task force of five Starfleet ships arrived to defend the space station and repel the Terrans and their lead ship, a Galaxy X-class dreadnought. (STO - Call to Arms mission: "Mirror Invasion")
