Solbor

Ranjen Solbor.

Solbor Jynan was a Bajoran man who lived in the 24th century.

The Star Trek Adventures RPG module: The Sciences Division gives his full name as Solbor Jynan.

Biography[]

Beginning in the year 2370, the ranjen served as Winn Adami's adviser and liaison during her time as kai, despite disagreeing with some of her policies. (CCG set: Necessary Evil)

In 2375, Solbor accompanied Kai Winn to Deep Space 9 when she believed she would officiate at Benjamin Sisko and Kasidy Yates's marriage ceremony. Solbor allowed Anjohl Tennan, in reality Skrain Dukat, to see the kai. (DS9 episode: "'Til Death Do Us Part")

On Kai Winn's orders, Solbor brought the Orb of Prophecy and Change to her quarters on Deep Space 9 for the Kai to attempt to talk to the Prophets. (DS9 episode: "Strange Bedfellows")

Solbor later grew concerned at Winn's withdrawal from her duties as Kai and the influence "Anjohl" had over her. After Winn ordered to him to remove several ancient texts on the Pah-wraiths, including the Book of the Kosst Amojan, Solbor grew more suspicious. After Dukat attacked him when he tried to remove the books, Solbor ran a DNA scan and learned that Anjohl Tennan was Gul Dukat. Learning that the pair were attempting to release the Pah-wraiths, Solbor went to get help, but was stabbed by Winn and died shortly later. Solbor's blood, when spilled on the Book of the Kosst Amojan, revealed the text of the book that had previously been hidden. Dukat secretly removed Solbor's body from the Kai's residence. (DS9 episode: "The Changing Face of Evil")

Kai Winn later reported Solbor's "disappearance" to the Bajoran Militia. (DS9 episode: "When It Rains...")
