Captain Storil (also known as Saros or Sutik) was a 24th century Vulcan man.
A career officer, Storil was a Starfleet captain in the year 2366, commanding the Miranda-class Federation starship USS Saratoga. Storil was among the Saratoga personnel killed at the Battle of Wolf 359. (DS9 episode: "Emissary")
Sisko had a high opinion of Storil, particularly for a Vulcan commanding a ship with a complement of mostly Human Starfleet personnel and keeping his devotion to logic behind that of his devotion to his crew. (DS9 novelization: Emissary)
The image and voice of Storil was one of many later used by the Prophets during their initial encounter with Commander Benjamin Sisko in 2369. (DS9 episode: "Emissary")
- Storil was portrayed by veteran Trek actor J. G. Hertzler, best known for his portrayal of Martok. Both "Emissary" and the short story "Requital" identifies the Vulcan captain as Storil, although the novel Saratoga uses the name Saros. The DS9 video game "Crossroads of Time" listed him as Sutik.
