Scotty's Swiss Army knife
A Swiss Army knife was a knife of Earth origin. It was designed as a tool for the Swiss military forces in the 20th century. It had multiple attachments and smaller tools stored in the handle of the knife.
Scotty owned one of these with a red handle which he put to use during the incident with the USS Pacific and Gary Seven in 2288. (TOS - The Peacekeeper comic: "Part Two: The Conclusion")
