T'Plana-Hath was the prototype vessel for the T'Plana Hath-class of surveyor starships, launched from Vulcan in 2053. The T'Plana-Hath was the ship that established official first contact with Earth. (TNG movie: Star Trek: First Contact; Decipher RPG module: Starships; CCG set: First Contact, card: "Vulcan Lander")

The Last Unicorn RPG module: The Way of Kolinahr: The Vulcans stated that it was the Vesaya under the command of Sevak that encountered Earth. It is possible that the T'Plana-Hath was stationed onboard the Vesaya.

History[]

Under the command of Solkar on April 5th, 2063, the T'Plana-Hath landed near Bozeman, Montana on Earth and established the first official contact with Humans following the flight of the Phoenix. (ST movie: Star Trek: First Contact; Decipher RPG module: Starships; CCG set: First Contact, card: "Vulcan Lander")

According to one account, the T'Plana-Hath was studying potential wormhole eddies that could be created by the interaction of Jupiter and Sol when it detected Zefram Cochrane's warp flight and changed course to investigate. (TOS novel: Preserver) Unbeknownst to the crew Gary Seven and Isis had boarded their vessel to covertly ensure that history unfolded as it should. (TOS - Year Five - Weaker Than Man comic: "Issue 17")

The crew of the T'Plana-Hath reported back to their people that Human music was "physically painful" to listen to. (DS9 - The Lives of Dax short story: "First Steps")

On April 6, the T'Plana-Hath relocated to San Francisco when helicopters approached the landing site. Following the end of World War III in 2053, the diplomats remained in the city to ensure the peace held. The diplomats knew about the Vulcans before the T'Plana-Hath landed beneath the Golden Gate Bridge. In 2311, an artistic rendition depicted the T'Plana-Hath landing beside the Golden Gate Bridge. (ST reference: Federation: The First 150 Years)

By July 2387, the T'Plana-Hath was housed in its own gallery in the T'Plana-Hath Historical Museum in ShiKahr on Vulcan. (ST reference: Hidden Universe Travel Guide: Vulcan)
