For other uses, see Veracruz.

The USS Veracruz (NCC-75400) was a 24th century Federation vessel, a Chimer-class[1] starship in Starfleet service in the 2370s decade. Like the earlier Phalanx-class heavy cruiser USS Veracruz,[2] this vessel participated in the Dominion War[3]. (SOTL calendars: 2016, 2018)

Service history and disposition[]

The Phalanx-class heavy cruiser USS Veracruz entered service around stardate 48388.5 in the year 2371. It continued to serve in the Dominion War, starting in 2373. (SOTL calendar: 2018)

By 2375[3], the Chimer-class vessel Veracruz, registered NCC-75400, had entered service and participated in the Dominion War. (SOTL calendar: 2016)

In that year, the new Veracruz delivered relief soldiers and engineers to AR-558 to replace those that had been fighting there for months. The Veracruz reinforcements were so young that Reese described them as "children". The Veracruz later ferried Nog and other wounded to Starbase 371. (DS9 episode: "The Siege of AR-558", ST - Tales of the Dominion War short story: "Requital")
