For other uses, see V'Lar.

In an alternate timeline where Terra Prime kept United Earth from joining the Coalition of Planets in 2155, the ICV V'Lar was a 23rd century Interstellar Coalition starship, a Soval-class cruiser in Space Command service in the 2260s decade. Its commanding officer was Captain Glal blasch Cheg. (ST - Myriad Universes - Infinity's Prism novel: A Less Perfect Union)

Service history[]

V'Lar

Ambassador V'Lar in 2152.

In the 21st and 22nd centuries, Ambassador V'Lar was a renowned diplomat in service of the Confederacy of Vulcan. (ENT episode: "Fallen Hero")

A ship named the V'Lar was active in the 2260s and served the Interstellar Coalition, the successor state of the Coalition of Planets. Its captain was a Tellarite, and the crew included officers from different Coalition members.

USS Enterprise

The UESS Enterprise in 2264.

In the year 2264, the V'Lar was hiding in a nebula when the nearby United Earth and Commonwealth Colonies starship UESS Enterprise came under attack from Orion pirates.

Talos com

The Talos star group.

Following some deliberation, Captain Cheg had the V'Lar enter the fight and support the Earth ship, which the Humans grudgingly appreciated. The Enterprise and the V'Lar were following the distress call of a lost Earth ship near the Talos star group, TNC-98422 in T'Lin's New Catalog[1], inside Coalition space.

Rather than allowing the Humans across the border, the V'Lar investigated the distress call, preventing Christopher Pike from encountering the Talosians. Unfortunately, the V'Lar was lost during its investigation. (ST - Myriad Universes - Infinity's Prism novel: A Less Perfect Union)
