PreludeEdit

The attack on the Chin'toka system had its origin in Benjamin Sisko's suggestion for an Allied offensive on the Dominion's territory in the Cardassian Union after the Romulans joined the Dominion War. After presenting him with the Christopher Pike Medal of Valor, Admiral William Ross told Sisko the attack would be going ahead, with him planning and executing it. (DS9 episode: "Tears of the Prophets")
