The First Battle of Chin'toka was a military engagement between the Federation Alliance and Dominion forces in the Chin'toka system in 2374. (DS9 episode: "Tears of the Prophets").

The attack on the Chin'toka system had its origin in Benjamin Sisko's suggestion for an Allied offensive on the Dominion's territory in the Cardassian Union after the Romulans joined the Dominion War. After presenting him with the Christopher Pike Medal of Valor, Admiral William Ross told Sisko the attack would be going ahead, with him planning and executing it.
