Foamet was a material which was used in Quark's to make shelves. The shelves in Quark's were damaged in a Jem'Hadar attack on Deep Space 9 in April 2376. During repairs one of Quark's employees, Broik suggested replacing the shelves with a more expensive higher grade Foamet, Quark was not impressed with the idea. (DS9 novel: Avatar, Book One)
