Ten Forward → Deep Space Nine (Reply | Watch) |
I'm in the process of watching all Trek TV and Films. I just finished DS9 and loved it. I'm now in the process of watching Voyager and have enjoyed what I've seen to this point. With that said I want to continue on with DS9. I picked up the Millennium Triology over the weekend (after hearing good things about it) and started The Fall of Terok Nor. When finished I would like to look into reading more. Never read Trek before so it is a little overwhelming looking at the book lists and trying to decide where to begin. Any recommendations on how to tackle the DS9 set of books (as well as other series) would be appreciated. - unsigned by anonymous user
- Hi. I'm a big DS9 fan, too. I can thoroughly recommend the DS9 relaunch novels if you're looking to see what happens after the final episode. In my opinion, they are, without exception, very well conceived and executed, and expand the story of DS9 very satisfactorily. Avatar is a great beginning to DS9's "eighth season", and I suggest you start with this duology. I hope you enjoy whichever book you decide to read. Good luck! -- Cyfa 18:07, April 30, 2012 (UTC)
"Thanks for the information, for some reason I missed the relaunch novels when looking at the memory beta DS9 page. I'm about 70 pages into the Millennium Trilogy - I'll follow your suggestion for reading Avatar and subsequent books when finished. Can you or someone else explain the whole numbered / non-numbered novel system? Maybe its explained on this site, I'll give a look around. Thanks again"
"Looks like I deleted my original question. I was asking about DS9 books and best series to start after watching the show. The relaunch series was suggested." - unsigned by anonymous user
