Twas having a looksie around Memory Alpha and noticed they are having a discussion on adding a "good articles" system. Having looked into what that involves on wikipedia I think its something we might want to adopt.
Basically its a step down from featured articles which allows decent articles to get some recognition that might not be able to ever reach featured status or aren’t at that point yet. I think it would be especially good here as we have a lot of articles which are quite well written but maybe only have one source and could never really be expanded up to something substantial enough to make a featured article. If we started it we might also think about moving some of the current featured articles down into, the Borg Collective page for instance is a good article, but it's not exactly concise and is only a history, not explaining what the collective really is. It’s a good article but should it really be featured?
Anything that can help users know what to aim for in the articles is always handy, and it would be nice to highlight all the work the community does here. --8of5 02:51, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
