The Four Deities are Betazoid religious icons.

In late 2365, Lwaxana Troi was delighted to see her daughter, Deanna Troi, enter her quarters and interrupt one of Data's long and boring anecdotes, and showed her delight by exclaiming: "Deanna, darling, thank the Four Deities you're here!". (TNG episode: "Manhunt")

In 2372, Lwaxana's doctor, Eusho Byxthar, demanded to know "what in the name of the Four Deities is wrong with Lwaxana this time?", when she was called out when Lwaxana went into labor. (TNG - Slings and Arrows eBook: The Insolence of Office)
