In 2409, Drake posed as a rogue Starfleet officer, attempting to defect to the Romulans and give them information on Starfleet's tactical deployment. However, when he was recaptured by the crew of a Starfleet ship, he revealed that he was, in fact, working with Section 31. (STO mission: "Under the Cover of Night")
