The Galileo (NCC-1701-A/05) was a Federation SW7-class shuttlecraft in service to Starfleet in the late 23rd century.
The shuttle was assigned to the USS Enterprise-A. Galileo was the latest of a series of Enterprise shuttles to bear that name, replacing a previous Galileo 5 that was wrecked recovering crew from the Nimbus III mission. (TOS movie, novelization & comic adaptation: The Final Frontier)
In 2287, Hikaru Sulu used the Galileo to transport a security team down to Datugad to rescue hostages that Shelm and his Essejjian followers had taken from a Federation medical assistance project. (TOS comic: "So Near the Touch")
